The Literacy Initiative is partnering up with St. Louis Priory for the upcoming school year. Priory students will be running our Books & Cookies program in couple schools.

Students have two volunteering options.

Books & Cookies Volunteer - The Books & Cookies program is one of our main programs. This program takes place one day each week. The Books & Cookies program has 3 sessions: Fall (September-November), Winter (December-February), and Spring (March-May). During meetings, the duty of each volunteer is to work with the students on various icebreaker (ex. Charades, Wax Museum) and reading activities. Volunteers will need to meet once per month outside of the program (most likely at Priory). All volunteers will need to undergo volunteer training prior to this program.

Books & Cookies Chapter Leader - The Books & Cookies program is one of our main programs. This program takes place one day each week. The Books & Cookies program has 3 sessions: Fall (September-November), Winter (December-February), and Spring (March-May). During meetings, the main duty for chapter leaders are to coordinate the icebreaker (ex. Charades, Wax Museum) and reading activities. Chapter leaders will need to meet once per month outside of the program (most likely at Priory). All chapter leaders will need to undergo volunteer training prior to this program.
